Before you start
Digital Driver Application
The application is required by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, so it asks for more than a normal job form. Have these on hand and it goes quickly:
Your CDL — number, class, issuing state and expiration date.
Driving record — any traffic convictions or forfeitures from the last 3 years.
Employment history — previous employers and dates, with room for six.
References we can contact.
Your Social Security number, for the FMCSA background check and the pre-employment drug screen authorization.
Every section has to be filled in. If something does not apply to you, write NONE or N/A rather than leaving it blank.
